About the Author
Nelson Bloncourt was inspired to write this book by the real Fanny. He says, "Every person's dog is the best and the most special. But Fanny had been so exposed to the public in San Francisco, that hundreds of people knew her by name. That made her soar! She was greatly loved." Nelson has worked as a fashion stylist, a photography agent and is co-author Visions of Angels, S Editions, 1998 and is currently a creative director and consultant. He lives in San Francisco, in the home he shared with Fanny. Nikita Polyanski was raised in Russia where he had his first dog, Crazy. "She was crazy and fun and loving and full of adventure. I've been a dog lover ever since." He began his artistic studies at the age of eight years and has been drawing and designing ever since, from work on Broadway shows and operas to Saks Fifth Avenue's famous Christmas window displays; he illustrated The Sleeping Beauty Glitterati, 2002. He currently works in entertainment and set design in New York City; he lives in New Jersey with his family.
