Colour zings through the pages and pierces through the eyes of readers in this explosive collection of Mauren Brodbeck’s diverse artworks. Brodbeck, an artist from Geneva, defies categorisation, and works within and between genres of photography, collage, graphic design, and installation. Her multilayered and polysemic images exist outside of time and space, while remaining grounded in the familiar urban landscape of a warehouse, a house, a parking lot. The energetic colours that she applies to our world both obscures and monumentalises the otherwise banal elements of daily life.

Her work also presents a dialogue between presence and absence, in the transformation of human figures into quasi-silhouettes and dimensional cut-outs.
