Reflections

The Flemish Community’s art collection is kept out of sight and far from the galleries of the big museums. It includes a number of major works and many historical documents. This publication puts the spotlight on a selection of these masterpieces and curiosities, revealing the diversity of a unique and well-preserved collection. Well-known and prized pieces are shown alongside unknown treasures. Past and present are interwoven with a variety of different perspectives. This book takes a look at the results of years of collecting activity and at the diversity of art in Flanders.
