In  this issue, trans-disciplinary discussions between scholars and  practitioners in landscape architecture and environmental psychology,  environmental behaviours, human engineering, public health, etc., as  well as city managers, are encouraged to explore the ways to improve  urban environments for children&#8217;s outdoor activities.
