By uniting these two elements, Pouyan summons the Iranian Revolution of 1979 and specifically his father&#8217;s involvement in this historic moment. At the height of the Revolution, Pouyan&#8217;s father, an electronic engineer for jet fighters, took part in a collective effort to plant wheat on his military base near Isfahan. It offers an in&#8208;depth view of Shahpour Pouyan&#8217;s recent work and notably contains:<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An essay by art historian and critic Media Farzin, analysing the historic and architectural underpinnings of <em>Skyhigh is my place<\/em>, placing it within Pouyan&#8217;s wider oeuvre<\/li>\n<li>A conversation between art historian Pepe Karmel and Shahpour Pouyan, discussing the artist&#8217;s recollections of his father&#8217;s involvement in the 1979 revolution and the work&#8217;s relation to wider artistic and architectural movements<\/li>\n<li>Extensive photographic documentation of the installation at Museum Dhondt&#8208;Dhaenens<\/li>\n<li>Extensive documentation of the artist&#8217;s recent work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Text in English and Dutch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first in&#8208;depth monograph on the Iranian&#8208;born artist Shahpour Pouyan, Skyhigh is my place brings together key texts and images on the artist&#8217;s practice.
