Margit Hart

Margit Hart (b. 1958) obtained an MFA in metalsmithing from SUNY New Paltz, USA, after concluding her studies in history and art history in Vienna Austria. She has run her own studio in Vienna since 1994. From 1997 to 2017 she was a professor at Schulzentrum Herbststraße in Vienna, and since 2009 at Abendkolleg SchmuckDesign. In 2015 she received the first prize of the Mario Pinton Award in Padua, Italy. Her work has been shown internationally and can be found in several public and private collections, such as the Museum of Applied Arts Vienna, and Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim, Germany.
