This exhibition catalogue presents a unique overview of the oeuvre of Anthony Van Dyck (1599–1641); the son of an Antwerp merchant and a pupil of Rubens. A rich selection of portraits and history paintings – ranging from altarpieces to mythological works and allegories – illustrates Van Dyck’s artistic development.<\/p>\n
