MortAmour is a quiet homage to nature and to the delicate boundary between life and death. Photographers Bart Moeyaert and Patrick Vanryckeghem bring lifeless animals and living models together in intimate, striking compositions that balance stillness and emotion. Their images transform loss into a form of gentle reverence, offering moments that feel at times personal, at times glamorous, but always honest. Each animal, having died naturally, is granted a symbolic second life through art. The resulting photographs linger as soft, visual reminders that life – no matter how brief – remains extraordinary.
