KOUR POUR: TIGER IN POP LAND (JIGSAW PUZZLE)

Tiger in Pop Land is part of a series of large-scale works in which Kour Pour, a Los Angeles based artist of Iranian-British descent, explores the movement of tiger imagery across China, Korea, and Japan. Drawing on Korean Minhwa folk painting and Japanese ukiyo-e prints, Pour reimagines these enduring motifs through bold color, graphic pattern, and Western pop art. The result is a tiger that pops in every sense of the word, bringing centuries of cultural exchange vividly into the present.
