Full Description

The Graphic Garden
is the first monograph from Keith Williams, a partner, along with Mario Nievera, of Nievera Williams Design – one of the country’s leading landscape architectural firms. Based in South Florida, Williams has been designing sumptuous outdoor spaces for over 20 years.

In this book, Williams highlights his most impressive projects to date which includes the revitalization of several historically landmarked homes and properties. He often integrates both native and exotic plants, builds opulent swimming pools, and brings in mature trees and stone work, all of which result in stunning gardens that are brimming with lush, tropical foliage. More than just plantings, other design elements featured include whimsical pool cabanas, a vertical garden wall, a loggia inspired by the architecture of Bermuda, Moorish-tiled fountains, and stone-paved motor courts. In showing the transformations and process of these monumental design projects, the book highlights Williams’s penchant for sustainability, and his efforts to honor the natural, existing landscape while never compromising the design to create spectacularly distinctive gardens.

About the Author
Keith L. Williams, a partner of Nievera Williams Design Incorporated based in Palm Beach, Florida, had joined the firm in 1998. Originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Williams has spent the past 30 years living in South Florida where he resides with his wife Nicole Williams and daughter Colette. Keith also has two older sons, Maxwell and Logan Williams. Williams is involved in a wide range of projects both designing and managing residential and commercial projects in Palm Beach and Miami Beach, Florida, New York, New Jersey, the Bahamas, Antigua, Shanghai, China, and Dubai. Projects also include historical and landmarked renovations. He recently completed the revitalization of the Royal Poinciana Plaza, a historical landmarked site in Palm Beach designed by the noted architect John Volk. The site had lost its luster through the years, but with the revitalization of the outdoor spaces, the landscaping of the courtyards, and the re-configuration of the vehicular circulation, the retail site is thriving once again. The designer has also just completed a major renovation of Hogarcito, a home built in 1921 by the late Marjorie Merriweather Post and her husband. Williams is also very involved with the community, serving on the corporate board of directors and the executive board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County and also on the board of directors for the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.
