“Inside the World’s Most Beautiful Bars, Where Design Is as Dazzling as the Drinks.”Food & Wine

Beautiful Bars is a stunning photographic journey through the world’s most beautifully designed cocktail bars, told through interviews with the designers who created them. From New York and London to Buenos Aires and Hong Kong, all are united by incredible interiors, seminal design and cultural impact, captured through lavish, large-format photography.

Interviewees include Martin Brudnizki, designer of Annabel’s and Italy’s Hotel Splendido, and David Collins Studio, who created the legendary Connaught Bar and Café de Paris Monte-Carlo. From the French Riviera’s Casino Royale Palm to Korea’s award-winning Zest Seoul and Mexico’s immersive Tlecan,

Beautiful Bars is the definitive visual bible for all those interested in era-defining design, timeless photography – and the good life.

The introduction to Beautiful Bars is written by the design journalist Peter Martin. Threaded with insights from hours of interviews with famous bar designers and legendary mixologists, it examines the history of the cocktail bar, the cultural impact of cocktails from the Jazz Age to the 1990s revival, and the vivid, globally exploding bar scene of today. Throughout the book, stunning photography is accompanied by insights and commentary on each bar.

Gilbert & George, one of the most significant artist duos of our time, created their three-film series Daytripping between 1992 and 2025. This three-volume set of books showcases Daytripping, Daytripping (Again) and Daytripping Forever! Directed by Southend-on-Sea-born British film and television director Iain B. MacDonald, the films follow three of the artists’ day trips from their studio, famously located in the East End of London, to the Essex coastline, asking bold and significant questions of the artists at different stages of their remarkable career. The three books feature stills from the films and a selection of the artists’ works, all presented in a printed slipcase. Each book also includes a link to watch the corresponding film.

From Louise Bourgeois to Yoko Ono presents around 85 jewelry works by some 45 internationally renowned female visual artists from the 1920s to the present day. Their jewelry pieces open up new, often surprising perspectives on their artistic production. Some pieces captivate with minimalist elegance, others with their expressive, sculptural presence or playful humor, with each unique work consolidating an artistic vision into a small personal statement. With its exhibition of the same name, the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln (MAKK; Museum of Applied Arts, Cologne) deliberately focuses on female standpoints, thus breaking with the male-dominated perception of avant-garde art jewelry.

Artists featured include: Lynda Benglis; Pierrette Bloch; Barbara Bloom; Katinka Bock; Louise Bourgeois; Helen Britton; Barbara Chase-Riboud; Claudia Comte; Sheila Concari; Sonia Delaunay; Nathalia Edenmont; Aube Elléouët; Claire von Falkenstein; Ruth Francken; Marcia Grostein; Jenny Holzer; Rebecca Horn; Annabelle d’Huart; Leiko Ikemura; Jacqueline de Jong; Yayoi Kusama; Alicja Kwade; Claude Lalanne; Liliane Lijn; Rita McBride; Blanca Muños; Brigitte Nahon; Eva Renée Nele [E. Gérard Basset was one of the most influential and authoritative sommeliers of his, or any, generation. Tasting Victory charts Gérard’s astronomical career in his own words. It recounts in detail how he managed to earn his unprecedented sequence of qualifications. He was one of the first individuals to hold the famously difficult Master of Wine qualification simultaneously with Master Sommelier and an MBA in Wine Business. But it is his pursuit of the most important award of all that forms the core of this book – how, at his seventh attempt, Gérard Basset was crowned the Best Sommelier of the World. This memoir is also a record of how fine dining in England grew from stale and unexciting to world-leading. Above all, it’s about succeeding against great odds: when he was diagnosed with cancer, Gérard responded in typical fashion, by deciding to write Tasting Victory, which he completed shortly before his death in January 2019.
– Autobiography of a true legend and much-missed character in the world of wine.

Cambridge Balls

The Cambridge University colleges are renowned for many great alumni and important achievements… and also a series of marathon all-night parties, known as the May Balls, held annually to celebrate the end of the academic year. Gered Mankowitz is among the most important, prolific and hard-working photographers of the last century. Timed for release on the eve of his 80th birthday, Photographs is his most comprehensive book yet, encompassing 65 years of an illustrious career from 1960-2025, with classic, rare and never-before-seen imagery. Mankowitz made a name for himself in London’s burgeoning Swinging Sixties scene. A session with Marianne Faithfull led to him working with The Rolling Stones as their official photographer throughout the mid-60s, and he went on to capture music legends from Jimi Hendrix and The Yardbirds to Elton John and Kate Bush. Mankowitz never stopped growing as an artist, taking promotional shots of movie stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, creating prize-winning advertising imagery for clients from Heineken to British Rail, shooting emerging artists, and publishing numerous books of his work. With accompanying text from the photographer, a natural storyteller, Gered Mankowitz: Photographs reveals an artist in constant conversation with his medium, adapting his craft and remaining relevant in an ever-evolving industry.

More than just an illustrious tome presenting the art of jewelry making, Jewelry Creators is a fun and informative read with behind-the scenes anecdotes and little-known secrets from 22 brands. All who are featured in the book have merged their artistic talents and professional styles, complementing one another to create some of the most memorable and enduring pieces that delve into the past, reveal the present, and speak to the future. Step into the haunting chronicle of a small explorer in a strange world. As Melbourne endured an unprecedented lockdown, Australian photographer Andrew Rovenko captured his daughter, Mia, dressed in a homemade astronaut suit and helmet, navigating their familiar yet alien neighborhood. This profoundly personal pandemic project quickly grew into a globally recognized photography series and now also a book, in which the story of the little astronaut reveals the surreal beauty found around us, as we still learn to look at the world differently, even years later.

Presented as a non-linear work where viewers are invited to explore the pages through live indexing, Liminalism offers a collection of thought-provoking visual pairings that document Based Upon’s exploration in global landscapes and the epic sculptural works that result from its process. It includes an introduction by Meagan Kelly Horsman, the Managing Director of Christie’s Middle East.

Becoming a philosophical treatise, Liminalism illustrates that truth exists not only in those things which can be named, but in the apparent space between them. Readers are invited to allow the images to act as edges between which a connective tissue can be found. In bringing awareness to the liminal space between these pairings, each viewer creates their own exhibition, while the artist offers a poetic reflection on life as a creator.

In the 1970s and ’80s, the Cannes Film Festival was more than a red carpet — it was a spectacle of freedom, fame, and excess. Photographer Ole Christiansen was there, camera in hand, capturing a time when the world’s biggest stars mingled with dreamers, directors, and the beautiful chaos of the Côte d’Azur.

Cannes unfolds a visual story from an era when the festival was still intimate, wild, and gloriously unfiltered. Christiansen’s lens brings us close to icons like Grace Jones, Sean Connery, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, and many others — not as distant celebrities, but as part of a living, breathing scene of glamor, sun, and seduction. Through rare, candid, and often daring photographs, the book celebrates a time when film, fame, and freedom collided — when the nights were long, the parties endless, and the line between cinema and life seemed to disappear in the glow of the Riviera.

Radilicious 2 is a luxurious coffee table book that brings together Europe’s most visionary vegetable chefs. Twenty top restaurants open their doors and stories, sharing 100 signature dishes that elevate vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers to gastronomic heights.

This second edition is more than a sequel: it is to be a unique reference work on pure plant gastronomy at the highest level. Compelling texts by Mieke De Vylder and breathtaking photography by Wim Demessemaekers make this book a source of inspiration for the cuisine of tomorrow and a collector’s item that should not be missing from any quality bookshop.

Three and a half years after the international success of World’s Finest Homes comes World’s Finest Homes II – a new journey through 29 extraordinary residences that redefine contemporary living across the globe. Bound in natural linen and crafted with the same care as the homes it celebrates, this second volume offers an intimate looks into architecture and interior design at their most refined – where luxury speaks softly and beauty endures.

From the urban sophistication of penthouse in Miami to the serene elegance of a beach-side retreat in Maui, each home tells a story of places, personality, and purpose. Throughout the book, readers will discover homes in Toronto, Los Angeles, Sydney, São Paulo, Sun Valley, Austin, Dubai, The Hamptons, Ireland, and beyond – each designed by some of today’s most inspiring architects and interior designers.

Dana Meyer’s South Pacific Expedition provides a fascinating insight into the world of entomological collecting, driven by the human urge for discovery and adventure. Featuring numerous illustrations and 12 letters, this book tells not only of the passion of an insect collector but also of a perilous journey to the South Seas at the turn of the century.

Published in this form for the first time, this collection is a fascinating and at the same time unsettling art project that blurs the boundaries between authenticity and fiction. The finely crafted sculptures are cold-formed from thin sheet steel and presented in preserving jars. The creatures appear deceptively real and at the same time their strange appearance is astonishing.

Meyer’s South Pacific Expedition offers the viewer the opportunity to imagine an exploration expedition 100 years ago and at the same time this series of works defies exact classification; the boundaries between nature, literature and art, reality and fantasy become blurred.

More than 40 years ago, two friends, united by a passion for the decorative arts, embarked on an exploration of the unique jewels of India. They were motivated by the everyday jewels of the people in the villages—to discover the sources of their inspiration and to unravel the complex ritual of adornment that resulted in ornaments being fabricated for every part of the body, from the top of the head to the toes. The result was the creation of the Amrapali Collection of Indian Jewellery, one of the largest collections of pastoral silver jewellery in the world.

The manifold communities that this collection represents come from different religions, with linguistic differences and diverse cultural sensibilities, but the land that the jewels encompass is geographically contiguous. They exhibit the amazing technical expertise of simple gold- and silversmiths. This volume presents the jewels in all their glory, and as a visual language communicating design, aesthetics, tradition and, above all, the artistic expression of adorning the body.
