FOOD. Taste in art.
Food as an experience, memory, language, and art form: at the Chiostro del Bramante, a journey through contemporary works, visions, and influences.
DART – Chiostro del Bramante presents FOOD. Taste in Art, a new exhibition curated by Suzanne Landau, dedicated to the relationship between art and food, a universal theme that runs through human history and continues to evolve through new languages and perspectives.
From the everyday act of eating to the symbolic, social, and cultural dimension of conviviality, food becomes the protagonist of an exhibition that invites visitors to look with new eyes at what belongs to our most intimate and collective experience.
FOOD. Taste in Art explores food as a creative medium, an element of transformation, and a tool for relationships: a universe of shapes, colors, rituals, and meanings where art, history, design, and modernity meet.
The exhibition spans different eras and languages, bringing together historical works and contemporary artistic research with objects, installations, and images that explore food in its many cultural, social, and symbolic dimensions.
From still life depictions to reflections on consumption, from the memory of traditions to the experimentation of contemporary artists, the exhibition explores food not only as nourishment, but as cultural heritage, identity, and a space for imagination.
