Martyn Goddard author signing – Barbican Music Library, UK

Photographer Martyn Goddard will be signing copies of his book ‘Blondie in Camera 1978’. Books will be available for purchase on the day in the Library.

A prominent figure in the New Wave music scene of the 1970s, Martyn Goddard is celebrated for his iconic album cover photography and compelling portraits of legendary bands like Blondie, The Jam, Queen and The Cure. While working for the Sunday Telegraph Magazine, You and Sunday Times Magazine in the 1980’s Goddard shot portraits and features with recording acts such as Genesis, U2, Jethro Tull and UB40; later in the decade, he worked closely with Wham!, photographing them during their ground-breaking tour of China.

He currently has a free exhibition on display at Barbican Music Library.
