What happens when art, nature, and transience come together?

The photography exhibition MortAmour presents a series of striking images that leave no one unmoved. In this special summer 2026 exhibition, photographers Bart Moeyaert and Patrick Vanryckeghem bring together lifeless animals and living models in powerful yet intimate compositions. Each image conveys calm, emotion, and deep respect for nature. Where life ends, the story begins.

The photographs in MortAmour depict animals that died of natural causes, often after attempts were made to save them. Instead of disappearing from the landscape, they are given new meaning in this exhibition. With great care and respect, they are portrayed as part of a larger narrative: that of life itself. The images not only highlight the beauty of nature but also remind us of its fragility and transience.

For their exhibition at the Zwin Natuur Park, the photographers drew inspiration from the park’s unique nature, fauna, and flora. The exhibition features a selection of around 25 powerful photographs that together form a poetic whole: a visual tribute to the delicate balance of our natural world.
