    Stefan Maiwald, born in 1971 in Braunschweig, is one of Germany's most versatile authors. He has lived on the island of Grado between Venice and Trieste for 20 years and writes novels, crime novels and non-fiction. As a journalist, he writes for various magazines about his great passion: the golf sport. His blog postausitalien.com is the most-read German-language Italy page. Maiwald spends most of his free time on the beach; Grado has seven kilometers of fine sand.
