Midnight Sun

Sue Flood is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker, zoologist, adventure travel leader and public speaker, with a special passion for the wildlife and icy beauty of the polar regions. She first visited the poles during her 11 years in the BBC’s Natural History Unit, working on such global hits as The Blue Planet and Planet Earth, with Sir David Attenborough; on National Geographic and Discovery Channel co-productions and on the Disney nature movie Earth. Her many accolades include multiple awards in the Travel Photographer of the Year, International Photographer of the Year and International Garden Photographer of the Year competitions; the Art Wolfe (best in festival) Prize in the International Conservation Photography Awards; a Royal Photographic Society silver medal; membership of the USA-based The Explorers Club and election as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Sue lives with her husband Chris in North Wales, UK. Ian Dawson is a photographer drawn to the world’s edges. His work has appeared in publications including The Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal and Vogue, as well as various BBC projects, with assignments ranging from conflict zones and royal tours to environmental reportage and wildlife stories. He co-founded Midnight Sun Voyages in 2023, a company dedicated to carefully curated, small-scale photographic journeys. Ian is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has volunteered for over two decades with Scottish Mountain Rescue. He lives with his family in Scotland’s Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park in Scotland.
