Cozy Cabins

The cabin or retreat has a long tradition as one of architecture’s simplest forms: a humble shelter offering protection from the elements. Over time, the cosy cabin has become a desirable destination in itself — a place to escape the demands of everyday life, find solitude, and reconnect with nature.

You can escape to a cosy, quiet place with this collection of 25 breathtaking cabins from unique locations around the world. Designed by leading architects and set amid awe-inspiring, often remote surroundings, these bijou homes invite you to slow down, switch off, and immerse yourself in nature.

From cabins perched proudly on the edge of a snowy mountain or sitting atop a rocky island to hideaways submerged in a tall forest of pine trees or tucked among the vines of a sprawling European vineyard, each home has been designed for its setting. Their stories reveal how the architects have responded to the site and climate, and, created warm, enticing interiors to provide refuge and calm to their occupants from the elements outside. Captured through vivid photography, Cozy Cabins celebrates the longstanding appeal of the cabin, offering shelter, simplicity, relaxation, and genuine escape.
