Design and Interiors Catalogue raisonné
- This volume traces the entire career of the great Italian architect, Franco Albini, from 1929 to 1977
This volume is the result of extensive and in-depth research conducted by the Franco Albini Foundation on the vast documentary collection in its archives, supplemented by external sources, with the aim of compiling a comprehensive catalogue dedicated to the work of Franco Albini (1905–1977) in the fields of design, interior architecture, and functional objects.
Edited by Giampiero Bosoni, this volume traces the entire career of the great Italian architect, from 1929 to 1977, capturing the complexity and richness of over three thousand projects.
The volume opens with a series of critical essays by leading scholars, followed by an extensive section of technical profiles organised into thematic chapters. Each project is analysed and contextualised through texts and archival materials—photographs, drawings, and documents—that illustrate its development and significance.
The book is rounded out by a section dedicated to contemporary reissues, along with a biography and an annotated bibliography. It serves as an essential reference tool for studying Albini’s work as a designer, while also providing a solid foundation for future research.
