    Full Description

How to Create an Exhibition offers a glimpse into the world of curatorial work and provides an insider’s account of how an exhibition takes shape.

Invited by Bianca de Divitiis, director of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut, as part of a master’s programme dedicated to the communication of cultural heritage, three leading figures on the international scene – Guido Beltramini, Howard Burns and Fernando Marías – compare their experiences, ideas and methods developed over years of organising art and architecture exhibitions.

In this compact volume, the three scholars reveal the key stages of curation: the selection of works, exhibition design strategies, the construction of a visual narrative and, above all, the dialogue between the works and the true protagonist of every exhibition – the public.

A book that transforms the ‘behind-the-scenes’ into a vivid narrative, enabling readers to see exhibitions through new eyes.
