Full Description

“…stands out as a captivating journey into art and environmental advocacy … Beyond its aesthetic allure, Dash’s work ignites conversations about the sustainability of our food systems in the face of the climate crisis.”Geographical Magazine, the official magazine of The Royal Geographical Society

“Amazing visual feast with a terrific message!” – David R. Montgomery, Author, Dirt: The Erosion of Civilisations, Growing a Revolution

If we care about nature and our planet’s health, we need to care about where our everyday food is coming from. As one of the most destructive practices on the planet, farming outcomes have helped bring us to the brink of catastrophe. Fortunately, they can help bring us back. Food Planet Future explores how.

Containing never-seen-before images taken using the latest photographic technology, Food Planet Future combines art and science to show food in a whole new light. Food Planet Future invokes awe and wonder and inspires action taken on our Earth’s behalf.

This book invites readers to reimagine the possibilities for Earth-friendly agriculture, stirring the imagination and provoking ideas and questions. Agriculture has a profound impact on the Earth and its climate but author Robert Dash illustrates and describes alternative sustainable practices which, if implemented on a wide scale, could help reverse climate change threats and biodiversity loss.

Regenerative and sustainable agriculture is within our ability to achieve: there is hope — if we choose to listen.

About the Author

Dash’s images have appeared in galleries and juried shows in the US and overseas. His TEDx lecture, The Intercourse of Nature, explores leaf stomata as a metaphor for interconnectedness. Dash’s travelling exhibition, which birthed this book, is titled Food Planet Future.
