    About the Author

    Liu Shanshan, Associate Professor at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, holds a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on architectural and garden history, utilising visual materials like paintings. She has led national research projects, published over 40 papers, and authored seven monographs. Huang Xiao, Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Forestry University, holds a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University. Specialising in the history and theory of landscape architecture, he focuses on the interdisciplinary study of garden paintings and historical gardens. He has published multiple monographs, led National Natural Science Foundation projects, and received several academic awards.
