    • Documentation of Ana Strika's artist in residence scholarship
    Full Description

Ana Strika (born 1981) is the 43rd artist in residence at ZF Art Foundation. She developed the site-specific installation DIE VORSTELLUNG in 2024 during her scholarship in Friedrichshafen. Ana Strika describes her approach, researching the procedural development of form and form-finding as experienced within the creative process, as a design process in itself. She creates her installations in resonance with the specific exhibition setting, drawing from her extensive collection of everyday materials. Elements such as cardboard boxes, scraps of paper, twine, branches, scrap wood, or plaster are assembled based on a modular principle, creating configurations in which the objects converge at new levels of meaning. The resulting shapes are open to a multitude of interpretations, while the diverse materials constantly play with the audience’s recollections and associations.

    Text in English and German.
