    Full Description

Balance: The Architecture of Worrell Yeung is the first monograph devoted to the acclaimed New York–based practice Worrell Yeung. The book reflects the firm’s pursuit of harmony—between old and new, architecture and landscape, and material clarity and richness. Across residential, commercial, and cultural work, Worrell Yeung has developed an architecture of clarity, precision, and quiet rigour, creating spaces that balance pragmatism with moments of discovery.

Organised into four thematic sections, Balance features a curated selection of the firm’s projects—including Ridge Barn and House, Canal Projects, and Studio Barn—presented through large-scale photography, sketches, construction details, and process narratives. The monograph offers a multidimensional portrait of the practice, foregrounding both the finished work and the creative and construction processes that shape it.

Featuring essays by David Sokol and Jack Murphy, as well as conversations with Jeffrey Longhenry, Michael Rock, Susan Sellers, and Kara Walker, the book captures the evolution of Worrell Yeung’s practice and the philosophy that guides it: a commitment to finding—and celebrating—equilibrium.
